"Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy."
  -David A. Bednar

This quote is trying to tell us that being happy revolves around obedience, but is this really true. What if they're making you do something that you do not want to do but because you have to be obedient you have to do it but it has nothing to do with you. Then how can you really be happy like that? Im not saying not to listen to what people tell you but to also do what you think is going to make you happy.

100 Goals Reflection

We started in this class a journal about goals that we have in our lives, those goals were personal to us because they were something that we need to accomplish on our own. Those goals of mine currently are in the progress of being achieved. I have accomplished some since I started writing those goals and I have added a few more to my 100 plus goals. My commitment to this throughout my life would be reading them at least once a week and adding some new goals and marking "victory" on the ones that I have achieved so far.

Class Reflection

1. What did you like best about this class?
What I like best about this class was that Mr. Haymore Our teacher would constantly being motivating us to do well in life and to choose the right and to also make really good choices in life. He taught us how not to give up on something but we should do it by choosing the right.

2. What did you dislike about this class?
What I disliked about this class was that I did not have anybody to talk to during the class, that is the only thing that I dislike about this class.

3. What can you recommend to improve the class?
I think that maybe showing more videos of stuff that actually happen in real life might be a good one.

4. What will you always remember about this class?
In this class I will always remember to choose the right. I will remember to do good in life by making good choices, and  that I should always have goals in my life. Mr. Haymore has been a great inspiration!

“Obedience is the great test of life.”    -Thomas S. Monson

Life is always giving you some sort of test to see how well you handle it, the way you handle the test life is giving is on you. Obedience is one of the many tests that life gives you, the way you handle obedience is on you. You either listen to what people tell you or you don’t. People always expect you to listen to what they say and do what  they tell you to do.

“Obedience…is the primary object of all sound and
education.”  -Elizabeth Missing Sewell

What it’s trying to tell us is that you have to listen to what other people are telling you. When you listen to what they tell you well be a good person because you are obeying what they say to do. But you do not have to do but it’s something that they ask to do it.

“Obedience sums up your entire duty.”
-Hosea Ballou

When you listen to what people are telling you then you’re doing the right thing, but sometimes as teens we do not want to do everything everyone tells us because we feel like they are just telling us what to do. I believe we should listen to our parents and adults the most but when it comes to your own peers telling you what to do it is up to you.

"The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have."
-Boyd K. Packer

This quote is true because in my personal experience i have had this happen to me. I can tell that when my parents make me do something and I listen to what they are telling me to do then they can trust me more but when I do not listen to them and I do not obey them then that is when they lose trust in me and then they do not let me do anything. I think in my personal experience that it is better to listen and obey then be a rebel and not obey.

Obedience

Obedience: Compliance with an order, you are obeying

Synonyms: tameness, accordance, compliance, reverence, agreement

Examples: When your parents tell you not to do something, when they give you instructions, when they tell you what to do and how to do it, when they say stay in a certain place

Military Medical Careers

Military Medical Careers
Duties and Responsibilities:
One of the major advantages to military medical jobs is the paid training and education. In return for a pre-determined number of service years to pay back your training and education, you will not have to pay out of pocket for your medical degree, nursing degree, or other related healthcare training. Usually the service years are around four years of active duty, sometimes more or less depending upon the level of education and training you received from the military. Once your service requirements are met, you are free and clear of any debt for your medical training.
Salary:
$16,000-$27,000
Education:

After a physician completes 4 years of medical school, their training is not over. They must then complete an internship (also called PGY1 or Post Graduate Year 1) and then a residency. An internship typically lasts one year and a residency can last from three to seven years depending on the specialty that you choose. Military GME is not much different from civilian GME in that virtually all specialties and sub-specialties are represented. Joining the military will not limit the specialties from which a medical student may choose. Medical students who attend USUHS or those who have a military obligation through HPSP, ROTC or a service academy are required to apply for the military's graduate medical education program.

Harmful Effects of Drug Abuse

The people that are taking drugs look like they are going crazy after a while. they look like they are enjoying it but there family members don't enjoy it at all. Drugs hurt the ones you love but you end up not knowing that you are hurting your loved ones because you are so into the drugs. Drugs make you change who you are you will never be the same. You are a completely different person with a completely different personality. You will never know who you are during those times. When you are done with drugs and have sobered up you are back to the person that you used to be and the person that everyone loved before you went into the habit of using drugs. We need to learn as people to stay drug free no matter what do not fall into the influence of drugs.

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.”   -Benjamin Franklin

It’s like the saying goes “early bird gets the worm”, my mom has always enforced the rule that when you sleep earlier you wake up early and you get all of things done early in the morning. I agree with this quote but sometimes I do like to get a little sleep more once in a while but I hate sleeping till late, I think the latest I get up would be 8 or 8:30. When you get up early you have the opportunity to watch the sunrise or hear the birds chirp when everyone else is asleep.
