Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They help patients who are mentally emotionally or physically disable, they help them adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to perform daily living and self- care skills. They work with a team as physicians, counselors, and physical therapist. They design therapy programs and work closely with patients to observe them, help them, and monitor how they are doing. They are always designing special equipment to aid patients and help with their therapy. They also teach patients how to adjust to their work and home life after becoming disabled by injury or because they are sick. Most of them are employed at hospitals, and many of them work at nursing homes, some of them even work at schools to help with handicaps, rehabilitation centers, or at adult daycare centers.

Average Salary:  
$26,000-$45,000

Educational Requirements:

Some students who want to become occupational therapists should take the most challenging high school math, science, and English courses. It requires either a bachelor’s or master’s degree that includes clinical experiences and successful completion of a national exam to become a certified occupational therapist.


I think that I would maybe like to become this because it has a lot to do with working with patients one on one.
