Industrial Hygienist

     Industrial Hygienist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They evaluate health hazards, conduct health risk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation.  They may be administrators, researchers, consultants or teachers.  Many work as part of an industrial or government team, although some have private practices. What they often do is Collect samples and perform laboratory analyses, and other things like check workers exposures, calibrate equipment, they do epidemiological research, and they instruct employs on how to be safe.

Average Salary: $40,000-$60,000

Education:

The students should try to take the most challenging courses in high school and study really hard while choosing the right. It requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or the physical sciences.  Many jobs require certification and/or a Master's Degree in these, or related, fields.  Certification requires successful completion of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene examination.

I do not think that I would like to be an Industrial Hygienist because I don’t think that I can learn all the things that I need to learn to be a Industrial Hygienist.
