Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities:
They work with and under
the direction of registered nurses, and physicians. They take care of
handicaps, injured, and sick patients. They have a lot of responsibilities with
patients like checking there pulse, high blood pressure, and checking there temperature.
They inject patients, change their clothes, and bath the patients. Their responsibility
entirely is to take care of the patients in nursing homes, hospitals, and care facilities.
Average Salary: $16,000-
$ 23,000
Education:
Sometimes a high school diploma or GED is not always required, it is
encouraged. LPNs do not have the extensive professional education that is
required for a registered nurse. State approved training programs are
offered by the hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges and private
schools.
I do not think the I would like to be a licensed practical nurse because
I wouldn't like to be changing the patients and having to put injections on the
patients.
