Duties and Responsibilities:

 A specialty within the dental profession, involves straightening teeth and correcting bites. As an orthodontist, you are responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patients' teeth and with their oral development. You might use x-rays or plaster molds of your patients' teeth to do this. You will then use dental appliances, such as braces, retainers and space maintainers, to correct these problems for the purpose of providing better function, appearance and facial development. You will also be responsible for planning custom treatment plans that are tailored to treat each individual patient based on his or her dental records and specific anomalies.

Education:

 You need to graduate from dental school with a Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine. However, you'll first need to earn a bachelor's degree in most cases. It doesn't matter what major you choose, but you'll need to take certain prerequisite courses, such as chemistry, biology, physics and organic chemistry. You'll need to take the Dental Acceptance Test during your junior year of your undergraduate studies.

The CTR helps you become a better persona and not someone who chooses the wrong to get into trouble or to not succeed in your life. To succeed in your own life you have to be able to choose the right path for you and make choices that will help you out in life not make choices that will harm your life. Reflection:

This statement to me means that the more you think about what your dreams is and how much you want it will continue. You have to continue to think about your dreams and aspirations. If you don’t think about it who will? No one will you have to think about it for yourself and watch out for your well being. My dream is to become a nurse or to study phycology. To pursue my dream I have to think about it daily and think everything that I do today will affect my tomorrow.  Without my mind thinking that way I don’t think that it will be possible for me to reach my goal. In my mind is set that what I do today will affect my future and that is going to be in my head until I make to my dream and to what I want to accomplish.

Clinical Technologist perform more complex laboratory tests and procedures than technicians. They also supervise technicians, confirm their tests, and manage laboratory quality control programs.

Most clinical laboratory specialists work in hospitals, but they are also employed by private practices, medical groups, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and universities.

Average Salary: $20,000-$28,000 (Clinical Laboratory technicians)

$25,000-$40,000 (Clinical Technologists)

Educational Requirements:

Students should take the most challenging high school course in science, math, and English. An associate’s degree in the field or completion of a specialized in- house training program is required to become a clinical laboratory technician.

A bachelor’s degree in the field is normally required to become a clinical technologist; however some employers accept an associate’s degree and extensive clinical experience as a substitute. 

Many technologists pursue additional graduate education or specialized training to advance their careers in clinical chemistry, blood banking, and microbiology.
