“Courage is being scared to death and doing the right thing anyway.”        -Chae Richardson

This quote says exactly what it means, when you are scared of something and do not want to do what you need to do anyway and you do ,do it then  you have courage because you overcame the fear of doing something that you thought you were not going to be able to do. An example would be if you do something wrong and you know it was wrong and you tell an adult or somebody that you did that wrong and you tell them then it is considered courage because you have the gut to say what you did wrong.

Courage

What is the meaning of Courage? The meaning of courage is when somebody does something that they are afraid of doing and they overcome the fear when they overcome it. People tend to be scared of overcoming this fear because they think that they won't be able to do it but in reality they can do it. What are some synonyms to courage? Bravery, boldness,   and fearlessness, there are many more but these are just a few of what courage means. A lot of people have courage in them they just do not know that they have it in them.
Some examples of courage:

  • Trying a food that you've never tried before.
  • Engaging in a new experience.
  • Asking someone out on a date.
  • Doing something that might be a little risky such as sky diving or riding a bike for the first time.
  • Standing up for a person who is being picked on.
  • Asking for a promotion or a raise at work.
  • Helping out a person or animal in need, even if it might put you in a little bit of danger.
  • Standing up for yourself.
  • Leaving an abusive relationship.

“Act well your part; there all honor lies.”        -Alexander Pope

This quote does not really get to me because I do not think that I understand the quote really well, but I am going to take a guess on order to understand the meaning of this quote. I think that you need to act well in order for things to come out the way that you want them to come out. Always be an honorable person and do the right thing no matter what other people think. If you commit to something stick to it because then when people see that you did not commit to whatever you said you were going to do then they will not trust you anymore.
